1. This competition is run by Marketgate Shopping Centre.

2. This competition will run from 17th January until 31st January 2025.

3. To enter, participants must follow the instructions in the competition post to enter.

4. The prize is for one local charity to be nominated as the Charity of the Year for Marketgate Shopping Centre.

The charity will receive:

• One free commercialisation pitch to promote the charity per quarter.
• The use of the present-shaped donation box for specific donations.
• Social media coverage across the centre’s social media channels.
• All donations made towards the Father Christmas meet & greet.

5. The charity with the most votes will win. There will be one winning charity who will be chosen by our followers and contacted following the closing date.

6. Entry into the competition is restricted to one entry per person and entries received after the stated date will not be eligible.

7. The charity must be registered locally to Lancaster.

8. Any charities that have previously held ‘Charity of the Year’ for Marketgate will not be eligible.

9. Employees of the Centre, their immediate families, press, agencies, sponsors and commercial partners or any person directly or indirectly connected to the competition are not eligible to enter the competition.

10. The information provided by the entrants will be used Marketgate Shopping Centre and their appointed marketing agency Shoppertainment Management Limited to monitor future competition winners.

7. The prize must be collected from the centre management suite in Marketgate Shopping Centre.
8. Winners have 24 hours upon receipt of winning message to respond and claim the prize or another winner will be chosen shortly after.
9. The winner has one month to collect the prize, or another winner will be selected.
10. Marketgate Shopping Centre reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotion and prize at any time without prior notice.
