Marketgate Shopping Centre provides a 127 space short-stay shoppers’ car park
We provide a safe environment for customers, with direct access to the shops. The Centre also offers free parking for motorcyclists.
A “Pay on Foot” system offers customers greater flexibility by simply paying for parking after completing a shopping trip. A “Chip Coin” is issued at the entry barrier which you keep safely with you. When you have finished your shopping simply visit a pay station to pay for your Chip Coin and then insert the Chip Coin at the exit barrier. Customers can now pay for car parking by debit card, credit card & contactless.

Monday-Saturday: 8.00am to 6.00pm | Sunday: 10.00am to 5.00pm
Closed Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. Other Bank Holiday opening times vary. Normal car park tariffs apply.
Both levels of the car park are served by public lifts, providing direct access to the Shopping Centre.
Open 8am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 5pm Sundays.
There is a fee of £20.00 for a lost chip coin. Should you find your chip coin and return it to the Security office we will refund £5.00.
