Creative Journeys Around the World at Marketgate

Get ready for a six-week journey packed with creativity, discovery and fun! Each Saturday from 25th July to 29th August, young explorers will travel to a new destination through exciting hands-on craft and food decorating activities, creating unique keepsakes to take home and treasure.
To make the journey even more exciting, children can pick up a special event passport. Bring your passport back to the centre each week to collect a unique destination stamp—if you manage to collect all six stamps across the summer, you will receive a special prize!

Weekly Schedule:

  • Week 1 (Saturday 25th July) – African Safari Masks Kick off the summer by travelling to the plains of Africa to design and decorate your very own vibrant safari animal mask.
  • Week 2 (Saturday 1st August) – Asian Lantern Crafts Journey across Asia and learn the beautiful art of traditional paper lantern crafting, bursting with colour.
  • Week 3 (Saturday 8th August) – Australian Coral Reef Jars Dive deep under the sea to create a miniature, colourful underwater world inspired by the Great Barrier Reef.
  • Week 4 (Saturday 15th August) – Mini Pizza Decorating Touch down in Europe for a delicious, hands-on culinary stop where children can get creative with their favourite pizza toppings.
  • Week 5 (Saturday 22nd August) – South American Carnival Crowns Immerse yourself in the rhythm of South America by crafting a spectacular, festival-ready carnival crown.
  • Week 6 (Saturday 29th August) – Polar Bear Cookie Decorating Finish the global expedition in the icy Arctic, icing and decorating delicious polar bear treats.
